Mr. Francom has over 27 years of institutional investment management experience in various roles as both an equity analyst and a portfolio manager. He is also a shareholder of the firm. He joined Verus in 2011 and is currently a member of the manager research group, where he is responsible for research, analysis and evaluation of domestic equity investment managers. Prior to joining the manager research group, Mr. Francom was a senior consulting associate, providing in-depth research, analysis, and consulting support to the Seattle-based consulting team.
Previously, Mr. Francom was a senior equity analyst & co-portfolio manager with Safeco Insurance and later held a similar role with a startup investment management boutique. He began his investment career at First Interstate Bank (now Wells Fargo) as an equity research analyst.
Mr. Francom graduated from the University of Washington with a bachelor of arts degree (BA) in business administration with an emphasis in finance. He is a CFA charterholder (Chartered Financial Analyst), is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Seattle, and also a CAIA (Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst) charterholder.
