Jason Taylor

As an investment professional and lead client advisor for over 23 years, Mr. Taylor has experience working with many foreign, public and philanthropic organizations, as well as private clients. He currently provides institutional clients with well‐developed investment solutions and strategic advice built on his particular expertise in the areas of asset allocation and alternative investments. He is also a shareholder of the firm.

Prior to joining Verus in 2010, Mr. Taylor held the positions of chief investment officer and managing director of the Threshold Group in Gig Harbor, WA and New York, NY, and managing director and client advisor at Ashbridge Investment Management in Philadelphia, PA.

Mr. Taylor has significant experience in helping foundations and endowments to integrate their mission and their investment portfolios. Mr. Taylor is the firm’s expert on Impact Investing, including program‐related investments (PRIs) and socially responsible/ESG investing generally. Building on his network of key contacts in this space, he has authored white papers and conducted educational sessions for the benefit of clients. In his previous engagement with Threshold Group, Mr. Taylor worked closely with the Russell Family Foundation and a number of like‐minded foundations in the region to collaborate on a new initiative to align a meaningful portion of their assets to their missions.

Within the local community, Mr. Taylor is a board member of the British American Business Council (BABC) in Seattle, serves on the board of the Bainbridge Community Foundation, as well as chairing the finance and investment committee, and as a trustee to the Horse Harbor Foundation, a sanctuary for neglected, abandoned and abused horses, near his home on Bainbridge Island.

Mr. Taylor attended Kingston University in London, England, graduating with honors in 1993. He earned a bachelor of arts (BA) in economics and German and also studied a year in Konstanz, Germany while completing his degree.
