Having over 18 years of experience in the asset management industry, Mr. Babson’s primary responsibilities at Verus include constructing and managing discretionary multi-asset portfolios, performing research and analysis, and working as part of the investment team on the strategy and process for the firm.
Prior to joining Verus, Mr. Babson was Senior Portfolio Manager and Vice President at Dumaine Investments, where he helped manage the firm’s investment strategies and client portfolios. Previously, Mr. Babson worked at Russell Investments in a variety of roles: at Russell, he was lead portfolio manager for all global listed infrastructure portfolios, totaling more than $4 billion. In addition, Mr. Babson was part of the team managing global real estate and real assets portfolios at the firm. Prior to that, he served as an associate portfolio manager and research analyst covering global real estate investments and infrastructure money managers.
Mr. Babson received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Economics (cum laude) from Williams College. He is passionate about tutoring and community engagement, and has volunteered with Read2Me, Werlin Reading, America Scores Seattle, and the United Way. Adam is an avid outdoorsman and musician, and enjoys mountaineering, hiking, and cycling.
