With over thirty years of industry experience, Mr. Lee is actively involved with his clients in improving their overall governance approach and in the development of their strategic planning, including asset allocation and investment policy development, plan design, investment manager evaluation and selection, performance evaluation, continuing education, and the coordination of special projects. He serves a broad array of institutional clients, including major corporations with defined benefit and defined contribution plans, endowments and foundations, and has also worked with public funds and Taft‐Hartley trusts. Mr. Lee is a shareholder of Verus and is a senior member of the consulting team.
Since joining Verus in 1990, Mr. Lee has served as the director of manager research where he was responsible for overseeing the evaluation and research of investment strategies, and as head of analyst operations and performance analytics where he oversaw a team of analysts and client reporting operations.
Mr. Lee is a graduate of Seattle University where he earned a bachelor of arts degree (BA) in business administration with an emphasis in finance. He is currently a member of the finance advisory board for Seattle University’s Albers School of Business and Economics. He also is a longstanding member of the Seattle chapter of the Western Pension & Benefits Council and served as a member of their board of directors from 2011 to 2014.
