Mr. Garrett is primarily responsible for supporting the firm’s capital markets research efforts, including the creation and oversight of materials for annual market reviews and outlooks, thought leadership on capital market forecasts and models, and the development of top-down portfolio views. Mr. Garrett also assists with the creation and delivery of research materials to the firm’s consulting staff for topics related to capital market opportunities, strategic asset allocation, and active management.
Prior to joining Verus, he held a career in the life insurance industry where he served as underwriting manager.
Mr. Garrett earned a bachelor of arts degree (BA) from the University of Washington with a dual concentration in finance and marketing, with honors, and a master’s degree in business administration (MBA) from Seattle University in 2013. He holds the Financial Risk Manager (FRM) designation and is a CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) and CAIA (Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst) charter holder. Mr. Garrett currently serves on the Seattle University Alumni Board of Governors, and serves as Vice President of CFA Society Seattle.
