Mission Statement

As part of Verus’ mission to be stewards to the means to a better life for our clients and their beneficiaries, it is incumbent upon us to conduct our business in a manner that is socially, economically, and environmentally responsible, while actively finding ways to benefit the communities where we work.

Actions

As a financial services firm, environmental awareness and sustainability practices can be incorporated into physical office location endeavors as well as employee interaction into the communities in which we live and serve.

In accordance with our purpose and values, it is our policy to:

• Maintain a robust recycling program to reduce waste to landfill
• Minimize use of plastics and paper wherever possible
• Recycle equipment that is no longer of use to the company
• Keep energy and water usage low
• Use low impact transport for travel to and from work
• Encourage employees to be conscious of their carbon footprints
• Donate to the Carbonfund.org Tree Planting program

We are committed to sharing and collaborating on this policy with our employees and revisiting it regularly. As such, we anticipate this policy to evolve and change. We will update this page as those revisions happen.
