Mr. Thomas is primarily responsible for constructing and managing discretionary portfolios, performing research and analysis, and working as part of the investment team on the strategy and process for the firm. He is a key contributor to the creation of capital market research and content, including short and intermediate term capital market views.
Prior to this role, Mr. Thomas provided research, analysis and consulting support to the Los Angeles based consulting team at Verus. His primary responsibilities included producing client deliverables and assisting clients. He worked with a broad range of institutional clients, including public defined benefit plans, corporate pensions, endowments, foundations, religious organizations and defined contribution plans. Mr. Thomas joined Verus in 2015 as an analyst.
Previously, Mr. Thomas interned at Garde Capital where he was primarily responsible for redesigning the portfolio implementation and rebalancing software.
Mr. Thomas earned a bachelor of arts (BA) in business, bachelor of science (BS) in natural science chemistry, and a minor in mathematics from the University of Puget Sound. He also completed a master of science in finance (MSF) from Pacific Lutheran University.
