Mr. Nishii provides strategic investment advice to institutional plan sponsors with the goal of maximizing returns while working within each client’s unique risk framework. Based in Los Angeles, Mr. Nishii collaborates with Boards and Committees to develop and implement investment strategies. This is accomplished through a variety of services including asset allocation/asset liability studies, private equity program evaluations, investment policy development, manager searches, and by analyzing investment program costs. Additionally, he focuses on responsible investing by covering topics in ESG and SRI.
Mr. Nishii began his career in the industry as an analyst for the Choy Kinney Wo Institutional Consulting Group at Morgan Stanley. Prior to joining Verus in 2006, Mr. Nishii served as an Investment Specialist for the State of Hawaii Employees’ Retirement System.
Mr. Nishii holds a master’s degree in business administration (MBA) from the University of Southern California, Marshall School of Business and a bachelors degree in business administration (BBA) in finance and management information systems from the University of Hawaii. He is a CAIA (Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst) charterholder.
