Ms. Furtuna joined Verus in 2018. She is primarily responsible for supporting the firm’s evaluation and recommendation of private market investments. She will also assist in creation and delivery of research materials to the firm’s consulting staff and clients for topics related to alternative investments.
Prior to joining Verus, Ms. Furtuna worked as an investment professional at New Island Capital Management in San Francisco where she was responsible for due diligence on private equity and private debt investments. Prior to that she was an investment associate at the International Finance Corporation in Washington DC and a fixed income portfolio specialist at Wellington Management in Boston. She began her career as a financial analyst with the International Monetary Fund in Washington DC.
Ms. Furtuna earned a bachelor of arts degree (BA) in economics from Randolph College in Lynchburg, VA. Ms. Furtuna holds a master’s degree in business administration (MBA) in finance from the Wharton School University of Pennsylvania and master’s degree (MA) in international studies from the Lauder Institute University of Pennsylvania.
