Accounting Specialist – Seattle

Verus is in search of an Accounting Specialist to join our Seattle, WA office. The Accounting Specialist is primarily responsible for the day to day processing functions of the accounting department which supports multiple locations and around 85 employees. Duties include accounts payable, accounts receivable/billing, cash management and payroll. Candidates should be detail oriented, able to multitask, good time management skills, have exceptional excel skills and be able to maintain a positive attitude when faced with a tight deadline.

Prerequisites:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required or
  • Equivalent combination of degree and experience with thorough knowledge of general accounting and application of general accounting theory
  • Five years or more of accounting & payroll experience preferred
  • Microsoft Dynamics GP preferred
  • Payroll software experience preferred
  • Basic understanding of payroll tax requirements preferred
